As one of the original pioneers of gastropub dining. Our menus are focused on local markets, produce and seasonal specialities and our talented kitchen team prepare and cook with passion. Our menu changes monthly, although some of our hearty Kings Head classics always remain.
We’ve recently won the title of ‘Pub of the year 2023’ in the Norfolk Food & Drink Awards. Plus ‘2023 Good Food Award blue ribbon for delicious dishes’ and we were finalists in the ‘East Of England Tourism Awards – Pub Of The Year 2023’, as well as holding 2 AA rosettes every year since 2014 for culinary excellence.
We offer breakfast, a la carte dining at both lunch and dinner, sandwiches at lunchtime and on top of this is our seasonal 48.5 mile menu which changes every few days. This menu showcases the incredible produce available to us right here on our doorstep, creating delicious seasonal dishes and helping to reduce our carbon footprint too! Plus on a Sunday you can enjoy one of our hearty roast dinners from 12-3 and delicious homemade pizzas, seafood platters & lighter bites from 5-8.
With a relaxed and dog friendly bar area, a spacious main restaurant and separate private restaurant (seating up to 18 guests) there is a cosy corner for all. We also have our Alfresco Dining area outside that is fully covered, weatherproof and heated and can accommodate up to 30. We can host wakes and other small events when possible – please contact us for more information.
