Food and Drink

As one of the original pioneers of gastropub dining, The Kings Head is a gastropub in Norwich, Norfolk.  Our menus are firmly centred on local markets, produce and seasonal specialities. Head chef Jake heads a talented team here at The Kings Head. They prepare and cook with the finest local produce to create our bi-monthly evolving a la carte menu. Although some Kings Head classics always remain on our menus. Plus from a close relationship with local VIPs (very important producers) is born our daily changing specials full of imaginative, local and homemade twists.

As a top gastropub in Norwich – The Kings Head has many accolades. Having achieved The Good Pub Guide title of ‘Norfolk Dining Pub of the Year 2019′. South Norfolk Councils ‘Tastiest Food & Drink’ award 2019. We have also maintained 2 AA rosettes for culinary excellence, and have recently become a ‘2020 Good Food Award Winner‘.  

Open daily, The Kings Head offers light bites and a la carte dining at lunch, bar nibbles (excluding Friday & Saturday evenings during busy services) and a la carte dining in the evening and traditional Sunday roasts. With a relaxed and dog friendly bar area, main restaurant and private restaurant (up to 18 guests) there is ample space. Our patio/beer garden area is also open in the warmer months.

Our Christmas menu must be pre-booked. To secure your booking, we require a £10 per head deposit and all dishes must be pre-ordered two weeks in advance. All members of your party must order from the same menu (Christmas or a la carte).
